Speech and Drama

Carolyn joined Crossings in 2010, bringing with her 20 years of teaching Speech and Drama at a local public school where her students have enjoyed competing in oratorical and drama contests with great success. She is a graduate of Western Illinois University and has taken classes at UCO.

Mrs. Behrens believes good communication skills are essential in family life, friendships and careers. She loves to watch students grow in their abilities to express themselves with "pathos, logos and ethos". She hopes students learn to appreciate the performing arts and study drama to find fresh perspectives and insight into the world around us.

She has been married to Gene (her high school sweetheart) for 37 years and has two married children and 4 grandchildren living in the area! She loves to sing, play golf, garden and spend time with family and friends.
