String Orchestra
Jennifer began teaching at Crossings Christian School in 2005. She has a Bachelor Degree in Music Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. While studying music, Jennifer played the cello in the Orchestra, the trombone in the 3rd Jazz Band, and sang Soprano in the Concert Choir. She has over twenty years experience performing in orchestra and is certified to teach Instrumental and General Music to Pre- K through 12th grade students. Jennifer has also taught in the Edmond Public School District.
Mrs. Diaz enjoys the kinesthetic learning that takes place in a music classroom. She feels that it is a privilege to watch students develop in skill and self-confidence through music, and believes that God created all people to worship Him through music. Jennifer has been honored to teach several different types of music courses to all ages of students at Crossings and is considered a strings specialist.
Jennifer Diaz is married to Sergio, and has four children: Isabela, Caroliena, Julieta, and Isaac. In her spare time, she enjoys creating photo books and scrap books of her family. She also enjoys reading about the lives of composers and playing instruments or listening to music. Jennifer likes to watch movies and travel to new places as often as possible.
