Jonette Gadd
Second Grade

Jonette grew up on a farm and ranch in southern Oklahoma. She is a member of the Chickasaw Tribe and proud of her Native American heritage. After graduating from Ringling High School, she earned a B.S. in Elementary Education from East Central University and a Masters in Reading Education from the University of Central Oklahoma.

She and Ben have been married for 31 years and have a daughter, Jennifer, who is married and practicing law in Dallas, Texas. Jonette is also blessed to have a step-daughter, son-in-law and 3 grandchildren ages, 20, 16 and 13 who call her "Grandma J."

After a 29 year career in public education, with teaching experience in Waurika, Edmond, Putnam City and Mustang, Jonette retired in 2003. She joined the Crossings staff in 2004 and has loved teaching 2nd Grade here ever since. She especially loves teaching history to all the 2nd Graders.

She enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading and spending time on her houseboat at Lake Murray.

Favorite scripture verse: "(For my determined purpose is) that I may know Him (that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly), and that I may in that same way come to know the power outflowing from His resurrection (which it exerts over believers), and that I may so share His sufferings as to be continually transformed (in spirit into His likeness even) to His death, (in the hope) that if possible I may attain to the (spiritual and moral) resurrection (that lifts me) out from among the dead (even while in the body)." Philippians 3:10-11
