Middle School Language Arts
Judy joined CCS in 2009. She has a B.S. in Education (K-8) from Oklahoma State University and a Masters in Education from Phillips University. She has taught for 25 years, the last 18 with Putnam City. Seven years were spent at James L. Dennis Elementary, and the last eleven years were spent teaching seventh grade and then sixth grade Language Arts at Hefner Middle School.
Her goal is to give students a love of learning, a love of thinking and a love of growing into responsible young people. She is looking forward to teaching at Crossings where she can speak openly about her love for Christ and the hope that she has in Him!
Judy says, "I love my students and I hope they know that for me teaching is much more than a job. It is my job to reach them; then I can teach them. I love what I do and my philosophy of teaching is tied directly to that loving passion."
She is married to Roger and they are blessed with two children, Patrick and Caylee. They have an incredible daughter-in-law, Debbie, and a wonderful son-in-law, Josh Dodson. Judy loves to golf with friends and family and loves to read, cook, travel and hang out with friends.
One of her favorite bible verses is “He has showed you, O man, what is good and what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” Micah 6:8
