2nd Grade

 

Kari is thrilled to be joining the Crossings 2nd grade team. She has a B.S. in Elementary Education with certifications in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. In 2005 Kari received National Board Certification. In 2009, she became a SMART Board certified trainer. Before coming to CCS, Kari taught 12 years in the public school systems in Bartlesville, Deer Creek, and Edmond. 

 

Kari loves teaching and watching children be excited about learning. She works diligently to plan lessons and activities to inspire children. Her classroom provides a safe, positive, and challenging atmosphere where all children enjoy learning.  Kari’s desire is for students to see God each day through her lessons and daily interactions. 

 

Kari enjoys traveling, playing sports and being outdoors. Since college, Kari has become an avid runner. In the past few years, she has completed eleven marathons. Kari also enjoys football season and traveling to OSU football games. 

 

Kari has found these verses to impact her life. Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans that I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to proper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”  The second verse is Ephesians 5:1-2, “Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.”
