CCS Kindergarten Teacher
 
Kim grew up in Shawnee where she graduated from High School. She has a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from the University
of Oklahoma.  This is her eighth year of teaching and her first at CCS. When asked her favorite thing about teaching, she says she delights in the bond created with each child and has a passion for teaching children to read.
 
Mrs. Balan has been happily married to her husband, David, for twleve years.  They have two boys, Parker, who is eight years old, and Connor, who is six years old.
