1st Grade

Laura grew up in Edmond, Oklahoma and has a B.S. in Elementary Education from OSU, and has been with CCS since 2007. Laura loves teaching and says that being around children and watching them grow in their knowledge is the best feeling. She says that her favorite part of the day is hearing the sweet prayers of her students.

The first grade unit on habitats is Laura’s favorite to teach. She said it was exciting for the students to learn about God’s amazing ability to create all the different habitats. Her class took a trip to the zoo and also set up a classroom aquarium.

When not teaching, Laura likes to spend time around family and friends. She likes to take pictures, watch movies, take walks, shop, and go back to Stillwater for OSU sporting events.
